Section A: CIE Tours
Pre-Departure Trip Cancellation Waiver
Premium can only be purchased with initial trip deposit and becomes effective on
the day the CIE Tours receives the premium. CIE Tours provides this trip cancellation
waiver and issues refunds relating thereto.
You may cancel your trip up to forty-six days prior to your departure for any
reason and receive a refund of all payments made to CIE Tours, less the non-refundable
Vacation Protection Plan premium. This waiver does not cover the single room supplement
charge which is applicable if one person cancels from a twin room which then becomes a
single room. The single supplement will be deducted from the refund of the person who
cancels.
Notice of cancellation is required by CIE Tours in writing during normal
business hours (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. eastern standard time, Mondays - Fridays).For
cancellations within forty-five days, Section B below applies.
Section B: Insure America Insurance
Insure America provides this portion of the insurance policy and it
applies to covered reasons only, such as sickness, injury, or death. The Trip Cancellation
Coverage goes into effect forty-five days prior to departure, while all other coverages go
into effect when you leave your home on your scheduled departure date from the United
States and includes all of the following features:
Tour Cost Trip Cancellation (within 45 days of departure)
Pays for financial losses you incur if you must cancel your travel because
of an illness, injury or death to you, a family member, or traveling companion, or other
covered unforeseen circumstances.
Tour Cost Trip Interruption
Pays for financial losses you incur if you must interrupt your travel
because of an illness, injury or death to you, a family member, or traveling companion, or
other covered unforeseen circumstances.
Tour Cost Arrival & Missed Connection
You're reimbursed for the extra fare paid to join your trip, if you miss a scheduled
flight or your land tour departure because of delay of a public conveyance due to
inclement weather or mechanical breakdown.
$500 Travel Delay
Pays up to $100 per day up to the maximum limit of coverage if your trip is delayed more
than 12 hours for reasonable, additional accommodation and traveling expenses until travel
becomes possible.
$25,000 Accidental Death & Dismemberment
Pays for direct accidental death or dismemberment 24 hours a day while you are on your
trip.
$25,000 Medical Expense
Pays accident, sickness and emergency dental with no daily limits or deductibles.
$25,000 Emergency Assistance
Pays evacuation and transportation expenses as directed by a doctor to the nearest
adequate medical facility.
$2,000 Baggage & Travel Documents
Pays for items lost, stolen or broken on your trip. Includes borrowed or rented property.
$200 Baggage Delay
Pays for the purchase of essential items if your bags are delayed for more than 24 hours.
$25,000 Repatriation
Pays for reasonable and necessary services for transportation of the insured's remains to
his or her place of residence.
Exclusive Family Protection
Children 12 and under receive full coverage at no additional charge when all accompanying
adults purchase a policy.
Waiver of Pre-existing Medical Condition:
The pre-existing medical conditions exclusion is waived if insurance is purchased with the
initial trip payment.
How to purchase your insurance
You must purchase insurance with your initial trip deposit. Otherwise coverage is not
valid. Coverage does not apply to mental or nervous disorders, self-inflicted harm,
suicide, normal pregnancy or childbirth, acts of war or terrorism and other exclusions
detailed in the Certificate of Insurance. If purchased, you will receive the Certificate
with final tour documents.
