| Your Day-by-Day Itinerary Day
1: Dublin - Capital of Ireland
Welcome to Dublin, Ireland's Capital. On arrival at Dublin Airport, pass through
immigration and pick up your baggage. Go to the CIE Tours desk in the Arrivals Hall to
arrange a transfer to your hotel. If you arrive before 12:00 noon, a transfer will be
provided. If your flight arrives later than noon you will transfer to the hotel at your
own expense. At 2:00 pm set off on your afternoon tour of Dublin with a local guide. Your
tour includes visits to St. Patrick's Cathedral where Jonathan Swift was once Dean and
also to Dublin Castle to see the State Apartments where many historic events have taken
place. This evening meet your fellow travelers over a welcome drink and enjoy dinner and a
show at Doyle's Irish Cabaret. (D)
Day 2: Blarney Castle & Killarney
See a variety of scenery today as you depart Dublin and drive through rich farm
country and busy market towns. Stop at a sheep farm near Cashel to sample some home-baked
scones with tea and learn a little about Irish farming. Just outside Cork visit Blarney
Castle where you have an opportunity to acquire the gift of eloquence by kissing the
famous stone. Continue towards the mountainous country of Kerry and into Killarney. After
dinner, perhaps explore one of Killarney's famous singing pubs. (B, D)
Day 3: Ring of Kerry Tour
Dress comfortably for a jaunting car tour which will transport you along the shores
of Muckross Lake for a guided tour of the 19th century Muckross House. Then embark on
Ireland's most popular scenic drive, the Ring of Kerry, by skirting Ireland's highest
mountains, the Macgillycuddy's Reeks. Your route passes through Glenbeigh, with palm trees
and beautiful beaches; remote Waterville; and the colorful village of Sneem. Head back
towards Killarney through Moll's Gap in time for dinner. (B, D)
Day 4: Cliffs of Moher & Bunratty Castle
Depart Killarney and travel to Tarbert to take the ferry across the River Shannon.
Your tour continues along the Clare coast to the Cliffs of Moher which rise 700 feet above
the Atlantic. Drive to the Shannonside region to check into your hotel. This evening a
banquet and evocative entertainment in Bunratty Castle will take you back in spirit to the
Middle Ages. (B, D)
Day 5: Shannon Airport & Dublin
This morning some of you transfer to Shannon Airport for return flights to the
United States. If you wish to end your tour in Dublin drive through pleasant scenery of
the midland region. The tour concludes at Dublin Airport at about 4:00 pm or in the city
center at 4:30 pm. (B)
